Michael LAM (b. 1977) is a Hong Kong artist. Autodidact Michael started his art career at the age of 27, he loves to work with a variety of mediums – oil, acrylic, lacquer on canvas and pencil on paper; he focuses in abstract paintings.

In earlier years, he had taught body art in a make-up school, his Body Painting artistry had been cherished in many events. Michael has worked with many international brands and hotels including: Lan Kwai Fong Hotel, Harbour City, Times Square, McKinsy & Co., CLSA, Kee Club, American Express, Cathay Pacific, Nomura, Lancome, Loewe, Le Sportsac, Piaget, Longchamp, Remy Martin, Escada, CANON, Salvatore Ferragamo and Venue Vicquot Ponsardm and so on.

Michael regularly participated in local and overseas projects.  We can find his art pieces in the movie "ALL ABOUT LOVE;" he gave an Art Talk for Philippe Charriol Foundation's 20th anniversary to promote development of local arts; he did Body Painting works on Mr. Jackie Chan's face for the charity project "Save China's Tigers 2007" and "UNICEF China Children's Week 2011", to name a few.  Painting exhibition in Art Revolution Taipei at World Trade Centre, Taipei 2012.  Body painting for Venetian Hotel 6th Anniversary, Macau 2013.  Art performance for Le French May at AZURE Hotel, Hong Kong 2014 and art exhibition at Azure Hotel LKF for 8th Anniversary, Hong Kong 2014.

He generously donated paintings for auctions to help the needy, such as “AIDS Concern 2003”,  “The Standard Chartered Bank British Chamber of Commerce Annual Ball 2009”, “Charity Auction for China Red Cross & AIDS 2010 in Shanghai” and “Charity art exhibition and artbook launch” supporting the Hong Kong Cancer Fund 2014.

Michael's pieces have been nominated and received awards in numerous artistic events. His works are popular among local and international collectors: Singapore, France, England, Japan, China and Australia.

Commission work:

•      Commissioned art project with HSBC, created rainbow lions for LGBT 2016

•      Commissioned Cover painting for Cathay Pacific inflight magazine- Discovery 2015.

•      Crossover painting with InterContinentral Hotel magazine cover- VIEW 2015 Group Art exhibition at Clipper Lounge, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hong Kong 2015
