LEUNG Lai-man, Jess 梁麗雯

Leung Lai-man (lives and works in Hong Kong) graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in 2015 and she received additional training at the HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE). She focused on the gongbi fine-brush figurative technique since graduation. Jess is interested in representing details of human figures and various objects. Two big paintings depicting the audience of a cinema and Rugby Seven show her skill and unique style.
She especially likes to study the gongbi paintings of the Song Dynasty. Jess then created new modern paintings reflecting the inspiration from the classical genre.
Leung is now an art teacher besides her gongbi painting practice. Jess has participated in exhibitions such as “Transcending the Gongbi Tradition” at Exchange Square, Central (2022), “Letting Go” (HKBU & 1a Space, 2021), Ink Global (2017, 2021), Ink Asia (2015), and the Cliftons Art Prize exhibition. She has received several awards, and her works are held by Hong Kong Baptist University, China CITIC Bank International Limited (CNCBI) and private collections.
梁麗雯，香港居住及工作，2015 年畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術院，並取得一級榮譽學位， 及後於香港大學專業進修學院修讀中國書畫研究文憑及山水畫文憑課程。梁氏 對工筆人物畫 特別有興趣，擅長繪寫密集的人與物，曾經描繪電影院觀眾複雜的精神面貌，以及七人欖球 賽觀眾的狂熱姿態。
梁麗雯很喜歡研習宋代工筆畫，繼而從古畫取得靈感，創作出對應主題的現代場景工筆畫新 作，延續宋畫的傳統，又注入新的演繹。
梁氏主力工筆畫創作 ， 亦從事藝術教學。作品曾展出於「中 環 交 易 廣 塲 的 《工筆新 傳》 (2022)，「再見再見」（1a 空間及香港浸會大學視覺藝術院，2021）、「全球水墨畫大展」 （2017、2021）、「水墨藝博」（2015）及 Cliftons 藝術獎（2015）等。曾多次獲獎，其 作品現為香港浸會大學及中信銀行收藏。
