Chu Lok Ting, Natalie was born in Hong Kong in 1999. She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Fine Arts in 2022. Through keen interests in ancient East Asian art history and memorative rituals, she developed a demi-archaeology and research-based approach to express her concerns towards cultural heritage conservation in the modern era, and how individual memory and microhistories converge into a bigger picture of collective memory and microhistory. CHU coordinates archival materials, texts and antiquities into installation, sculpture and ink. Her work has been exhibited at institutions and art fairs such as the Hong Kong Museum of Art and Fine Art Asia, and she has attained various awards including the Friends of the Art Museum Prize and Ramon Woon Creative Prize.
