Aggie Choy was born and raised in Hong Kong. She graduated with an MSc degree in Financial Management, from the University of London; and has engaged in the Finance sector in Hong Kong ever since her graduation. In 2010, an art-jamming class in Hong Kong not only enlightened her about painting but also lightens her life as a Banker. She found herself very attached to painting, as it leads her to a state of tranquillity, where she can totally be immersed in her artistry creativity. Forever grateful to Ms. CC Wong, her passionate mentor, who inspired her all these years, and emboldened her life as an artist.
Leaving behind her career in Hong Kong’s financial sector, Aggie is ready to move on to her dream path in England—of being an artist. After settling down in England, she took a diploma program in watercolour at London Art College in order to enhance her painting competence as a whole. With achieving a distinction award from the program, she is more confident in becoming an artist.
Aggie aspires to touch her audiences with the daily nature that’s very much connected to herself, be it the places she visited— adapting the scenes to memorable landscapes paintings; be it the blossoming beauty of flowers she saw—converting them to romantic still life paintings. Aggie’s passion for painting allows her to infuse life into her works, fluid brushstrokes and carefully chosen colour chords work together to produce harmonious works. She is looking forward to sharing with friends and art lovers of her aesthetic and original paintings that are close at heart!

Artist Statement
My world changed when I started to learn painting in 2010. I started with oil painting and gradually found myself very attracted to watercolour. Painting to me is magically relaxing and joyful… with which I am able to express myself freely and sensually.
Having the chance to migrate to England, my inner self became calmer and more peaceful; the blossoming beauty of my garden here, and the beautiful scenery in England, made me indulge myself in landscape and still life paintings… it’s all about my daily life.
My mentor often describes me as “a day person”, as I am fascinated by the light and warmth of the sun, and how it brings out the vitality of a place or a thing that is under it… and with it, I depict the world from my heart onto paper.
“Art is never far away from any of us … be it a place that you visited or just the blossoming beauty of the flowers in the garden… pour in your sensual true self, and you are there to enjoy!“
